TRAINING AND MENTORSHIP ON RESILIANCE

CINA in WTI led consortium trained 30 (15 female teachers & 15 male teachers) as School Mentors for four (4) days in Nyang Town HQs of Yirol East. Those 30 mentors were trained so that they would provide Mentoring support to adolescents/learners (girls & boys) who might be faced with growth personal and development bodily changes. The activity had equipped the teachers inorder to support learners in 15 MYRP/ECW supported schools. The Mentoring program would help the pupils to grow well and relate healthily among the peers/learners. The school Mentors would be conducting Mentoring exercises after regular classes on Tuesdays and Thursday per week for two months. Hence; this training seeks to increase retention and completion of learners from one educational level to another.

The activities completed were; learners reached with MHPSS messages as 469 pupils (392 boys & 177 girls) targeted by MHPSS Focal Points/teachers in 15 MYRP schools in Yirol East, CCGs mobilized 39 OOSC (27 boys & 12 girls), renovation of 4 blocks of 2 classrooms each at Adior Ps & 2 blocks of low cost pitlatrines constructed at Tingajieth ECD/Ps as pending furnishing, and 30 school Mentors/teachers (15 females & 15 males) trained. Also school routine monitoring was conducted, tailored financial support given to young mothers (32) and PEP Centers/cattlecamps named Mayom-Luok and Majok functional. Hence, the MYRP/ECW Project activities were done well inthe month of September-2022 as planned accordingly.
